Watch Around Water Policy

'Parents supervise, lifeguards save lives'

MALC is a participating Centre in the national Watch Around Water Campaign. While lifeguards are present at MALC pools, parents also play a crucial role in supervising their children to ensure their safety. This is not about shifting responsibility, but rather about parents and lifeguards working together to keep children safe.

The MALC is an accredited 'Watch Around Water' facility. Children under five years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult and supervised within arms reach at all times while at the MALC. Children under 10 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult and supervised within line of sight at all times while in the centre. Any unsupervised children will be safely removed from the water.
